SANY Heavy Truck Unveils Four Autonomous Truck Scenarios
On April 11, at the 2026 Smart Electric Vehicle Development Forum held at the National Convention Center, SANY Heavy Truck made a strong appearance as the first new energy commercial vehicle company to deliver a keynote speech at the main forum.
During the event, the chairman of SANY Heavy Truck shared insights into industry trends, emphasizing that electrification is far from over. New energy heavy trucks will become the core driving force of the next industrial wave. With outstanding economic efficiency as a production tool, their market penetration is expected to approach full adoption, gradually replacing traditional fuel trucks across all logistics scenarios.
Based on this vision, SANY Heavy Truck officially proposed four practical application scenarios for autonomous heavy trucks: fixed-route unmanned transportation, intra-provincial autonomous drop-and-hook transport, inter-provincial autonomous logistics, and large-scale production of driverless heavy trucks. These scenarios aim to achieve nationwide coverage and significantly reduce logistics and supply chain costs.
At the concurrent New Energy Vehicle Innovation Exhibition, SANY showcased multiple highlights, including the SE636, the flat-roof 462 model with “Moqing” dual-motor system, and its advanced dual-motor technology.
The SE636 is the industry’s first electric heavy truck designed specifically for express logistics, featuring a 636 kWh battery with a range of up to 500 km. Equipped with an 870-horsepower motor, it delivers strong climbing capability of up to 28 percent. With an 800V high-voltage platform and 1000A megawatt-level fast charging, it can gain over 300 km of range in just 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, the 462 model is the first to adopt the “Moqing Intelligent Drive” dual-motor system, enabling seamless shifting without power interruption and improved performance under heavy load conditions, with climbing efficiency increased by 31 percent.
