Recently, Phase II of Beijing Metro Line 19 officially entered full-scale construction, marking another milestone in the capital’s urban expansion and green infrastructure development. In response to Beijing’s high-quality growth strategy, SANY Truck has delivered the first batch of 30 units of its 420 series electric dump trucks to the Beijing market, supporting the green transformation of urban muck transportation.

The deployed vehicles are 8×4 urban construction electric dump trucks specifically designed for complex city operating conditions. As the first batch of 31-ton-class new energy dump trucks introduced in Beijing, they will directly serve major infrastructure projects such as metro and road construction, playing a leading role in promoting low-carbon urban development.

The 420 series is engineered to adapt to demanding construction environments. It adopts 2.5-generation refined wiring harness protection technology, achieving enhanced waterproof, corrosion-resistant, and anti-vibration performance. This significantly reduces insulation and wear-related failures, ensuring stable operation under high-frequency transport conditions.

Tailored for muck transportation, the vehicle is equipped with SANY’s self-developed long-life lithium iron phosphate battery system, upgradeable to a maximum capacity of 600 kWh. With a comprehensive operating range of up to 350 km, a full charge supports intensive all-day operations. Energy consumption is optimized by 1.6% to 8% compared with similar models.

In addition to its electric efficiency, the truck delivers strong load-bearing capacity and superior handling performance. It features a high-strength frame, 16-ton middle and rear axles, multi-leaf spring suspension, and an AMT automated manual transmission for diverse jobsite conditions. The reinforced cargo box design further enhances durability and reliability.

The delivery of these 30 vehicles marks the first large-scale implementation following the strategic cooperation agreement between SANY Truck and Beijing Tiantuo Huarun Municipal Engineering Co., Ltd., representing a key breakthrough in the application of 31-ton new energy dump trucks in Beijing.
