SHANTUI supports the major national "Xinjiang power transmission" project through integrated mine construction solutions with its product advantages and technical strength.

A certain open-pit coal mine in Xinjiang is one of the main coal mines of the "Xinjiang power transmission" base planned by the state, with an annual output of 1.3 million tons, which can provide a stable supply of power coal for surrounding and outside power plants. The mine is located at an altitude of 400~600m, with a maximum temperature of 45℃ in summer and a minimum temperature of minus 30℃ in winter. The operation of equipment in the mining area faces many challenges.

The construction road surface of the open-pit mine is mainly hard stone soil road surface, and the material types are mainly soil blocks and gravel. There are also large stones and burnt rocks in some areas, with a density of 1.5~1.6t/m³ and a maximum material diameter of 25cm. Previously, more than ten excavators and more than 50 mining trucks in the mining area used double shifts, with a daily working time of 20h. Although the mining trucks run well on a daily basis, some vehicles still have problems such as hydraulic pipeline oil leakage and clutch burnout, which poses a severe challenge to the response speed of service personnel and the supply of spare parts.

In response to this, SHANTUI has established a professional on-site support team composed of R&D and service personnel, set up a forward warehouse for spare parts, and achieved 24-hour response to ensure the stable operation and timely maintenance of the equipment, and ensure the production safety and efficiency of the mining area.

At the same time, SHANTUI provides customers with customized integrated mining construction solutions through in-depth exploration and analysis of the on-site environment, optimizes the number of wide-body vehicles in a single vehicle group, and coordinates customers to configure nearly 30 SK120 mining trucks with a cargo box capacity of 46m³, and is equipped with SHANTUI SE980 excavators, L68K-G and a small number of graders and rollers for loading and unloading operations. Customers have affirmed the power, convenience, cab comfort and service of SHANTUI products.

The rock bucket of the SE980 excavator has a larger volume than the original bucket, which improves the excavation efficiency and the overall work efficiency has increased by more than 30%. In the same amount of time, the mine area can complete more excavation tasks and improve production efficiency.

The SK120-G mining truck has a 10% lower energy consumption than the original equipment, and the volume, speed and attendance rate have all been improved, with a comprehensive efficiency increase of more than 40%. SHANTUI SK120A-G is developed and upgraded to automatic transmission based on the 120t manual transmission. It is equipped with a Hande 40t high-reliability heavy-duty mining bridge and an imported Allison 4800 high-torque transmission. It has strong power, strong climbing ability, and good adaptability to working conditions. SK120-G can also easily cope with complex road conditions with a maximum slope of 5% to 8%.

SHANTUI's integrated construction plan not only solves the actual problems of the mine area, but also lays a solid foundation for SHANTUI's further expansion in the mining market.
