SANY Mobilizes Emergency Equipment to Support Disaster Relief in Indonesia
In early December 2025, severe floods and landslides struck northern Sumatra, Indonesia, causing devastating losses. According to the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the disaster has resulted in 770 fatalities and 463 missing persons, prompting local authorities to declare an emergency state.
In response to the Indonesian government’s urgent call, SANY Indonesia and the SANY Foundation immediately activated their emergency mechanism. Working closely with BNPB, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (KADIN), and local customers, the team rapidly deployed 10 units of excavators, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment to the hardest-hit areas, including Aceh and North Sumatra. These machines are being used to clear debris, rebuild damaged routes, and open vital access corridors for rescue supplies and evacuation efforts.
To ensure uninterrupted equipment operation, SANY Indonesia has transferred spare parts and essential materials from regional warehouses in Central Aceh and Southeast Aceh to the disaster zones, providing strong on-site maintenance support. At the same time, SANY continues to stay in close communication with nearby suppliers and equipment owners, remaining ready to dispatch additional resources to support ongoing rescue and reconstruction work.
SANY will keep monitoring the situation and work alongside all partners to provide heavy-equipment support, logistics coordination, and field assistance, doing its utmost to aid emergency response and post-disaster recovery.
