Recently, the Publicity and Education Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced the list of outstanding cases from the "2025 Corporate ESG Case Collection Campaign." LIUGONG’s exceptional submission, titled “Intelligent Empowerment for Green Transformation: Building a New Manufacturing Paradigm,” was successfully selected—signifying national-level recognition of LIUGONG’s integrated practice of “ESG Governance + Green Intelligent Manufacturing.”

This case comprehensively showcases LIUGONG’s top-level design and innovation achievements in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) fields, particularly serving as a model for the integration of ESG governance mechanisms with green intelligent manufacturing. Additionally, LIUGONG’s Wind ESG rating has risen to A level, and its Huazheng ESG rating has improved to AA level, further affirming its outstanding ESG performance.

LIUGONG has deeply embedded ESG principles into the core of its corporate strategy. It has not only innovated its governance structure by upgrading its board-level committee to a “Strategy and ESG Committee,” but also established an ESG leadership group led by senior executives and a cross-departmental execution team to ensure full implementation of ESG goals at all levels. The company has also issued specialized documents such as the Carbon Emissions Management Plan and the 14th Five-Year Plan for LIUGONG’s Energy Business, setting clear targets for emission reduction and energy savings.

Driven by technological innovation, LIUGONG has achieved remarkable results through the dual engines of “intelligence + green” to build a smart, green manufacturing system.
Its intelligent loader factory deploys 102 robots and 82 AGVs, utilizes laser cutting and digital twin technology, achieving a 15% increase in production capacity and a 50% reduction in manufacturing cycle time. The automation rate of its intelligent excavator factory exceeds 70%.

Furthermore, LIUGONG has implemented green processes to reduce carbon emissions at the source. For instance, it uses mixed gas shielded welding to reduce CO₂ consumption in welding by 40%, and employs dry cutting to achieve zero liquid waste discharge.

In terms of energy optimization, LIUGONG has built a 28.37 MW photovoltaic power station generating 27.77 million kWh annually, reducing unit painting energy consumption by 16%, and cutting 15,700 tons of carbon emissions each year. For circular resource management, the remanufacturing parts recycling rate reaches 85%, with product performance up to 95% of new parts. The comprehensive wastewater reuse rate exceeds 60%, and electroplating wastewater is 100% recycled.
